During the tour of 2002 the tour organisers received a fax from club founder, Cyril Davies. In the fax, Cyril offered a donation to the club and proposed that it be used to establish a tour trophy, to be awarded to the member making the greatest all-round contribution to the tour.

The Club was pleased to accept this generous offer and purchased this magnificent crystal rose-bowl. The recipient is chosen either by popular vote amongst the tourists or by Club & Tour Captains.
