Throughout the club's history "friendly" ladies-v-gents matches have taken place. The results have usually been conveniently forgotten, except by the men - who selectively remember the ones they won!

In 2002 a new trophy was presented and was first contested on 31 August 2002, the result being a narrow victory for the ladies. Rumour has it that Captain Emrys Davies had stern words with his Vice-Captain who led the men's team on the day!

The trophy was made by club member Quentin Smith and features a moveable back-piece which allows the "jack" to be placed above the lady or gentleman figure according to the result. It is shown here after the first match, the ladies having the jack. In the event of a tied match the back-piece can be reversed to show a jack equidistant between the figures!
