Bank Alarm

Another Dave Allen classic.

A bank senior manager calls unnanounced on a small branch in rural Ireland (it had to be, didn't it?). The place seems deserted, with the doors open, the tills unlocked and cash easily available. He looks around and eventually spots the bank manager and three tellers sitting round a table in the back room, playing cards.

Rather than confront them he decides to set off the bank alarm, and then hides to watch what happens.

To his surprise, none of the four move, but just carry on playing cards.

Then, after a few minutes, a chap arrives from the pub across the road carrying a tray with four pints of Guinness!
